I kind of want to go to bed and skip the medal ceremony, but I'm curious to see what it's like when it's the Olympic flag that's raised and the Olympic anthem that's played instead of the Russian ones. That should be interesting.

Born and raised in Germany. Lived there for 27 years. So tell me again, what difference does it make where I'm from? If you are a neutral observer you KNOW this tournament was crap hockey. Sure, nobody really denies it was exciting, but then again throwing toddlers in the ring seeing them duking it out can be exciting too.. doesn't mean it's great boxing though.

Don't let your patriotism cloud your judgement. Team Germany wouldn't have gotten out of the group stages if the NHL participated.

They blew it on that regulation ending PP but that also speaks to experience and smarts.

Your hockey players are warriors. The way the game was played, they could have easily won today. But unfortunately, there could be just one winner. I hope that this silver medal will make hockey more popular in Germany.

Don't think that poster who dissed Germany for celebrating their win over Canada realizes that when you win a Semi Final game, you have won a Silver Medal... Silver.....

the Gold Medal game is the opportunity to upgrade the Silver Medal to a Gold.

So, there is absolutely no reason for a team to not celebrate a Semi Final victory. Cause, the team that ends up with Silver won't be smiling when they get it.
