That is the first time since the Nashville/Chicago game in 2010 I think where I saw a team win a playoff or tournament game tying it shorthanded in the last minute

Toews did it against the Canucks in game 7 in 2011.

Sure, let's play the U-20 or in the World Cup... bet you'd be singing a different tune when Honduras faces Peru for the big banana.

Look, I get it, in a country where a German becoming pope is a reason for celebration ("WIR SIND PAPST!") making it to the finals of a tournament that is on a C-level quality they took a B-level team into overtime. Congrats!

Don't know which country you are from but I'm pretty sure our U-20 would whoop your butt in Football.

You had a powerplay with 30 seconds remaining and couldn't close it out. Completely unacceptable.

Just kills me to see Germany lose.

wins it.
A paddle?

Very happy for Russia! :) But Germany showed great courage and very well thought-out play. Congrats to Germany for the Silver medal.
Go Russia!

Nice to see Germany lose. Celebrated win over Canada like Gold medal (400 Canadians in NHL and only 5 Germans lol) and choked on pp 2 minutes left on the final. LOL. Deserved to lose.

I'm sorry what ? This team wasn't expected to crack top 4 even without NHL players. Of course they're gonna celebrate the win against Canada like Gold. It was not expected .

It’s gonna be tough to find a reason to be happy for OAR winning.

I mean, even the Unified Team was put together for a different reason that was not as controversial (Basically a bunch of former Soviet countries put together for reasons that the athletes had nothing to do with )and they at least had a lot of young guys on the up and up (Kovalev, Zubov, Zhitnik, Kasparaitis) instead of a bunch of no names and a few aging ex-NHL’ers.
