Germany had that game in a bag in regulation with less than a minute to go on a powerplay.

Epic choke job.

A stacked Russian team could barely beat them.

The play-by-play guy on NBCSN has just a said that Russia has matched Canada in the number of Olympic gold medals :-)

Kaprizov and Gusev are treasures among scrubs. They saved this tournament for Russia.

Don't overexaggerate, plenty of our players contributed. Kovalchuk scored many goals, Datsyuk was the 2nd key factor in this game, Koshechkin was generally solid in net.

It's hard to win when everyone expects you to. Good on Russia for getting it done.

Silver medal is pretty awesome for Germany as well.

Give it a break guys. Germany took it to gold medal OT. Come back complaining when Russia or Canada do the same in football. This is historic.

Sure, let's play the U-20 in the World Cup... bet you'd be singing a different tune when Honduras faces Peru for the big banana.

Look, I get it, in a country where a German becoming pope is a reason for celebration ("WIR SIND PAPST!") making it to the finals of a tournament that is on a C-level quality they took a B-level team into overtime. Congrats!

That flop at the end of the third is going to haunt Germany for a long time.

Marco Sturm might get an NHL coaching gig out of this.

Everyone crowing about Datsyuk joining the triple gold club...I mean, I don't put much stock in this medal and the WC medals because they aren't close to best-on-best.
