I agree that it should have been delay of game when the puck hit the camera but the broken stick call was correct in my opinion. The Canadian player had possession of the puck and the Russian player knocked it away with a piece of his broken stick.

It might not mean much but congratulations on getting the silver. Russia played really well and was very impressive.
That stick doesn't break and it's a good shot on net with a 6-4... just awful luck for Denisenko. Zero controvery on the call.. he was skating with the broken stick in his hand.lol

I think everyone agrees it was over the boards, but who can find the rulebook about this? I feel like there must be something about it.

I saw this post from another poster, take a look:

What I could find:

RULE 135 – DELAY OF GAME/SHOOTING OR THROWING THE PUCK OUT OF PLAY
i. A player who shoots, throws, kicks, or bats the puck directly out of
the playing area from inside his defending zone anywhere in the rink (except where there is no protective glass) during game action, without any deflection, will be assessed a minor penalty. The determining factor will be the position of the puck when it is played.
ii. No penalty will be assessed if a player shoots the puck directly over the boards at the players’ benches but not over the protective glass behind the players’ benches.
iii. No penalty will be assessed if a player shoots the puck directly over the boards at any areas of the rink without protective glass directly above the boards.
iv. A player who deliberately shoots the puck out of play anywhere on the ice during play or after a stoppage will be assessed a minor penalty.
v. A player who lifts the puck from the defending zone and hits the scoreclock or any structural object above the ice surface, causing a stoppage of play, will not be assessed a penalty.

Would seem like a sketchy definition of "above the ice surface" you'd think.

Weren't you *****ing about early reffing? I hope you are pleased with the late
The only call I thought was really bad was the Hayton holding the stick when he was hooked. If you look at my history I told the ones calling bias against Canada to shut up.

Yeah, I don't believe you. You spent the whole game arguing against everything that went in Canada's favour.

Oh really? Care to elaborate how you came into that conclusion as I was objective observer in this match. It may seem biased because of your own binoculars but it was still unbiased.

Canada should have a penalty to hit puck of the ice. Wrong decicion about referees. Russia should have played 5-3 and probaply 6-3.

Shame that tournament gets this kind of ending.

lineman show immediatly two minutes penalty.
