Basically this thread has been about the refs, first the canadians complaining, then the russians.

Yeah I hadn't seen the replays for the other two. They're fine. But the puck hitting the camera should have been a penalty.

The issue I have is, that same cameras if filming the puck, you can clearly see the puck over the glass by about a full puck width and then hitting the camera.

So the cam placement made it no different, replay clearly shows the puck was outside one way or the other. I guess if the cam wasn't there, refs wouldn't have any excuses.

There is a colloquism in Finnish for this: "RYSSIÄ" - 'to russia' (verb) which means to f*** up.

Here we have a prime example of this russing up. The better team won. They didn"t russ it up.

Difference was crucial moment. A 5-3 with 2 minutes left would have materially changed the game and holds more value than a blown call in the first. Timing matters.

They gifted them a 6-on-4 for a dive. Geez, you want the refs just to pick it up and throw it in the net?

I feel dirty. Should have been a 6 on 3 but Russia came unglued in the face of adversity. They would have still had a 6 on 4 for more than a minute before their penalties.

I think it’s because a puck hitting the camera makes a dead play. I don’t think it mattered that where it hit the camera.

I thought refs were brilliant, usually in the finals the refs stop enforcing any rules.

Russia got screwed a bit on that delay of non call, but I guess that's a tradeoff for the phantom call on Hayton that lead to a goal for Russia. Either way, obviously happy Canada won but man the reffing has been consistently bad all tournament.
