The rivalry between 2009-2012 was fun. Then Chicago ended up being a dynasty winning 3 cups while we won 0 and being saddled with Torts and then Benning soon after. This good karma despite the fact Chicago was a crooked backwards *** organization.

****ing unfair how it goes sometimes.

Kind of tells you how desperate the Canucks are for D men..McWard will be the 16th D man the Canucks have iced this season..Thats insane.

Seems to be a running trait of the Vancouver Canucks, regardless of who's running the team.

The fact that McWard is likely to be the 16th d-man they've auditioned this season is more of a testament to the complete lack of blueline depth than anything else.

With the fate of Myers and OEL, a big question mark this off-season, the Canucks could be looking at a complete blueline makeover. It's a possibility that the only guys they return next season are Hughes, Hronek and Bear. After that, it's a crap-shoot.

That's why is so hard to project the Canucks as a playoff team even next season. The black hole on their back-end isn't gong away any time soon.

I though McDonough was a center, what gives?

Also could McWard playing mean we see Myers out?

Did McWard play left side at Ohio State? Strange they would slot him in on his off-side knowing Burroughs can easily shift over.

Makes me think he's just a placeholder for Hughes, despite the Dreger report.

That defense is a thing of beauty to a tank team. One starting NHLer and he's 3rd pairing (bear). If a team rolled this in the AHL nobody would think it was out of the ordinary.

If Hughes is banged up, there’s zero reason to play him.

Fully expect him to play 27+ minutes tomorrow

Edit: guess he’s just sick

Bear has really challenged the notion that he's a starting NHLer recently.

While the reporting is that he’s playing LD, he says in his first interview that he mostly played RD. Makes sense given his partner, Burroughs, can play either side.

Hughes with a “viral thing” and was “pretty sick last night”.

According to Tocchet, Hughes should play tomorrow and Demko is starting. Said there’s a good chance McWard draws in but didn’t indicate who would come out.

Vector, thanks always for posting these videos.

One thing that has taken me by surprise is Tocchet. I really enjoy listening to his evaluations of the game and the players. He has a keen eye and makes honest critiques, but doesn't come off as a jerk.
