All righty boys, rest up and train with Hughes during the off season. All members of the team are required to do whatever he says for the next 4 months. 
This trade deadline is still an absolute mystery and I don't believe the excuses for a minute.
The only hope I have is that Blueberries forced them to keep everyone for a "run", games that matter in March! and that now they have plenty of ammunition to deny letting him have anything to say about running the team.
That's the last straw I've got to cling onto, and frankly, is it enough?

Sign Suter and let Brock walk. Might have to trade Chytil and flip assets for a stronger 2C. Kidnap Ehlers and make him sign.
On a serious note, proud of the players in the lineup for battling so hard over the past month. Saw a lot of really good stuff from just about every Abby player. The lineup was just too depleted.

I echo this sentiment. Beauvilier can get a 2nd rounder but Boeser has no good offers? I call bullshit on that.
Getting Metey is very good, I'll give them this much, but this TDL was a missed opportunity.

Valiant effort down the stretch here but it wasn't our year. It be like that sometimes.
Let Quinn, Petey, and Demmer get well and reload in the summer. These guys can make some noise when healthy and not dealing with the drama they did this year.

Well season over, I’m rooting for Rangers to finish atleast 14th so i don’t have to watch them fumble next season. Hopefully in these last few games we get to see DPetey and Lekk play more than 10 minutes, Lekk looks like just a passenger on the PP and DPetey needs some pk time.

We have about 14 million to upgrade that when factoring 9.5mil for goalies. I’d like to see a lot of that spent on a 2C if we can find someone of decent quality… I’m really not seeing the money to re-sign a guy like Suter unless Chytil is traded.

Teams don’t give up on 1st rounder as much in the cap era unless it’s a contender and when they do, they spend it on premium positions or absolute stars. Also Brock being ice cold for like a month or two doesn’t help. Why would any team spend a 1st on a guy that’s cold as shit?

I’m not sure why anyone would think this management isn’t aligned with the compete now plan. I mean, absolutely, ownership is definitely pushing this, but this management team signed up for and has been making moves from the get go that align with the compete now plan.

Too much squandered territory before this game. This is the probable result.
Whoever thought compete now was the path, including this management, could not have been more wrong.
This isn't injuries, it's not drama, it's the strength of the roster outside of a few very key building blocks. It was not, nor was likely to be, good enough... And here we are.
