Not sure what you're remembering, but Horvat played zero defense, like the rest of the team, and cherry picked his way to inflating his goal stats.

Miller was 50% bozo and 50% solid.

Pretty sure that was injury year for Pettersson and but I think Boeser was decent. There wasn't any team structure until Tocchet arrived.

I'm not saying these players all sucked, because clearly there was talent there, but the team was by any measurable standard, poor. They didn't look at all like a threat for anything, never mind the playoffs.

Maybe it's me that's misremembering, but I honestly think this one's on you.

23 games left and if you look at the remaining teams, they could easily lose 15 of them in regulation

from how they are playing they should be out of a playoff spot before the trade deadline
 
If we double down and keep Pettersson until his clause kicks in, we are screwed.

If we keep Tocchet around, we aren’t going to ever be exciting or create offense (unless we ride the PDO train).

Just boring, uninspiring hockey. I took a nap for majority of this game - pretty much the only thing Canucks games are good for these days.

We basically lose every game because Pettersson and Boeser aren't giving us any offensive production. Night after night, Chytil/Hoglander/Garland are out there doing their best to try and create some offense, but they are who they are and can only give so much.

also sievelovs had a great 1st period and then couldn't make a single save to keep us in it. looked like cloutier out there. sad.

It's time to consider trading Hughes, I think.

His value is obviously extremely high. We don't want to run the risk of him getting injured long term. Trade him for a bunch of picks and/or young talented players and see if we can become a playoff-team/contender in 5-7 years from now.
