Unfortunately, they only gave D-Petey 10 minutes compared to Desharnais’ 15 yesterday.

Even if he does get another game, he’s screwed because Juulsen would be the one coming in.

id like to see these pairing. i thought Soucy was noticeable (positive) on the right side last game. Although i didnt get to see the whole game so maybe im wrong about that

Hughes - Hronek
Forbort - Soucy/ Myers
d-petey - Myers/Soucy
Juulsen

desharnais - waivers

Isn't the game at 4:30pm PST?

Also thought Soucy had now had 2 good games playing the right side. May as well try him there short term.

Or, with Hughes shooting much more. Keep him on the right with another LHD. Hughes-Soucy could work, where they switch sides in the O-Zone.

Tocchet I swear to god. LEAVE EXACTLY LIKE THAT. NO CHANGING IT

I'll even stomach Myers up with Hughes, which has been surprisingly okay-ish if it means D. Petey stays.
Hughes makes up for a LOT. Myers is generally OK but his mistakes are often glaring ones so it sticks out. But hes actually generally better than any of our bottom 4 guys (Forbert, Desharnais, Juulsen etc). Being generally bad and losing ground every single shift and never being able to get out of a zone adds up, even if there isnt an obvious mistake.

Soucy was so good last year, it really sucks that hes dogwater now.... Wish he could turn it around but I have little faith he will, especially with who he generally plays with. That said, having him on the right side might be a nice upgrade over Desharnais on a third pairing...
