I’ve been saying for a long time that Max Sasson would be the best signing among the Canucks 2023 NCAA free agents. Dude just rocks.

I still wonder if he's one of those guys who comes up and looks great for like 20 games and then fades because he has to go 110% to be effective at this level, but even if that happens he looks like a player that would find his way back.

I think our team is not the fastest up and down the lineup so guys who can skate really stand out. That's why we're all enamoured with Sherwood, he has motor and wheels.

Bains and Raty have been good but you can tell they're just a little less fleet of foot so they have to be smart about their positioning. Sasson's skating gives him a lot more margin for error as he gets used to the game at this level.

The difference is the pace. One's finally getting close to being an average-ish skater, while the other is a genuinely good one.
