It's probably up to Demko whether he wants to start or not. They'll want to get him up to speed, the first couple of goals last night weren't softies but not ones you are used to seeing him let in. He couldn't track the puck on the first goal and failed to protect the top of the net on the 2nd goal. But he also made some excellent saves and seeing him flash that glove hand was a thing of beauty. He's underrated not just for the saves he makes but for how he manages the puck.

When I went to Florida it was before NYC got 911ed. My visit was actually quite pleasant. Only thing to complain about was the heat, as I'm very much a tundra dweller.

Wonder if we see the Canucks alternate Lankinen and Demko now that both are healthy.

If this is indeed where Miller returns, the pop from the crowd is going to be enormous. Hopefully that can fuel the team to, you know, win a game at home?

The team didn't really show any life from Joshua's return from cancer, nor Demko's return from over half a year off. You may be setting yourself up for disappointment.

We’ll see practice lines soon, but I have a gut feeling Miller will play Thursday

Edit: or not.

The media should leave him the f*** alone and not ask questions about it. He doesn’t owe anyone an explanation, and he sure as hell doesn’t owe the media one.

Not to disagree too harshly but he actually does have to be made available to the media. It's an obligation of all NHL players. Media also has an obligation to ask the question and Miller can decline to answer.

I feel like he should just come out and say something generic like "I needed a personal leave of absence to deal with some stuff, but now I'm back and ready to go. I won't be answering any more questions about that moving forward. Thanks."

Not to mention, I think he does owe the fanbase something. No specific details or anything but just an acknowledgement why he felt it was necessary even if it amounts to a simple "I've been dealing with personal demons that I'd rather not talk about."

If nothing else, it will at least settle down all the rumour nonsense. Acting like nothing happened or it's one big secret just fuels that fire.
