Yeah I'd go :

Hughes-Myers (much as I don't love this)
Brannstrom-Hronek
Desharnais/Juulsen-Soucy

And see what happens.
A thousand times yes. One way or another find out if Brannstrom/Hronek could be a thing. If it's a significant success, it gives the team another way to think about acquiring help on the back end.

Hell, they tried Juulsen with Hughes, why not Friedman (who is back in action with Abby tonight)?

Pedey didn't get any ice time before we sent him to AHL right?

This might be overly optimistic and for sure I got rose colored glasses, but I do wonder if Willander and Pedey can be difference makers at some point.

A Brannstrom-Hronek pairing would be very interesting. It probably doesn't change Hronek's game all too much, but it sure opens things up for Brannstrom. I'd give it a few games.

At the beginning of the season, Tocchet spoke about wanting Hronek to be more assertive, to defer less to Hughes. I want anybody who pairs with Hughes to defer to him. The puck should be on Hughes's stick as much as possible. But put Hronek with Brannstrom, and it's a different story.

This is the perfect timing too, it would typically be a soft trip and I think the morale boost of Boeser and Demko both being on the trip and returning soon presents a great opportunity to throw a few curves at the opposition.

I think that I like what Tocchet was going for with trying a new system for a new group of players, it was very forward-thinking, it's yet to click clearly and this is the time if I were an NHL GM, I'd be thinking about tweaking my immediate outlook.

Regardless of however it turns out, even if the hockey gods spit out a laugher at us, I'm going back to DEFCON-4.

Brannstrom prefers to play his off side but the Canucks don't have anyone one the left side right now to fill his minutes. Forbort is expected back soon so hopefully we'll see Brannstrom with Soucy, or even with Hughes (and shift Hronek down to play with Soucy).

Then the bottom pairing can be Forbort - Myers.
forbort-myers could potentiality be a disaster waiting to happen both slow. lots of mistakes will happen in the d zone 100 percent.
