Oh no, the dreaded afternoon start! Do we take the risk of destroying Demko forever or do we reinforce failure by playing Lank. Maybe put Silovs in as the sacraficial lamb just to be safe...

3-2 OT win. Demko stands on his head again.

Also I know Lankinen has been getting alot of hate recently but he's the only reason Canucks are still fighting for a playoff spot to begin with. Let's cut him some slack.

I'm super excited about having Lankinen and Demko locked up next season for under 10mill.
Who’s hating on Lanks?
He’s the best back up goalie in the friggin league

Yup. Lank is going through a bit of a rough stretch right now but our season would have been over a long time ago without him. Demko was sub-900 on the year before coming back this time and look at him now. Lank will be fine. One of the best tandems in the league going into next year if Demmer can stay healthy.

The Canucks have landed in Winterpeg before in seasons past, at the tail end of a long road-trip....and it didn't end well.

We'll see how much gas is left in the tank. But the Blues and Wild are now seven points up with only nine left for Vancouver. And because both those teams are well ahead in terms of ROW's, the Canucks are actually eight points back....they'll have to finish ahead of those teams.

We all know it isn't happening. But I'm sure the players don't see it that way. So I expect they'll come up with a good effort. But Jets will be out for revenge after being beaten pretty handily in Vancouver earlier this month.

But another loss or two, and Tocchet can start making some serious lineup adjustments. Cut back on Hughes ice-time, and give a lot more minutes to the likes of Karlsson, Raty, Sasson, EP25 and Mancini.

Pond hockey again?

Very fun to watch all those goals and the suspense of the last shot.

Better post game interviews

A no hitter?

It is nice to see some of the home grown (AHL) talent get a shot and a little disappointing that some of the traded player are not that much better if at all.

Canucks will be counting on Demko to win this one all the way.
