News/Notes AKA Is Jeff Carter playing?:
  • ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Stevens has said he could be game time decision tonight. Tobias Reider is probably going to play, but the guys at Daily Faceoff must have forgotten he played Thursday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  • Paul Ladue was called back up and Johnny Brodzinski was sent down to Ontario. Scott Wedgewood cleared waivers and also got assigned to Ontario. Which leaves an open roster spot.
  • Today is Mark Hardy Legends night.
  • “He’s getting close I’ll tell you that,” Stevens said. “We were surprised with how far he had come in the time we were away. Talked to him yesterday, he felt really good. The first thing was getting medically cleared and then getting him feeling physically good and timing on the ice. He’s probably a lot closer than I thought he was.”
  • “He looked like he was flying out there today. Hopefully he feels well, and well enough to play,” Toffoli said Friday. “I wish I could move like he does. I think a lot of people do.”

Nice to see Carter back in the lineup. Hopefully with him back he can help Toffoli and Pearson get out of their slump. I'd really like to see Kempe play with Carter though at some point.
 
sincerely, how bad do we stand regarding getting into the playoffs? imho lak must win such games at this time of a year to get their ass there, or they can just write home it's over and go for a game of golf instead. do or die.
 
Kings better take care of business because Anaheim has Arizona tonight and these Oilers tomorrow.

If the Kings lay an egg tonight they will probably be 6 points back of Anaheim after tomorrow.

Pretty big game.

Not directed at you and no offense, but it's this mentality is why the oilers are and will remain terrible. All they care about are stats and not winning games.


With that said, I hope mcdavid has 10 points tonight, as long as the kings win 11-10.

Contrary to what you might think, I don't want the Oilers to lose for the sake of a better draft pick...

I want them to lose partially because it screws over Calgary, but also because the worse we do this season, the better chance there's significant turnover in the front office that's sorely needed.

I love Stimpy as well, and Jeff Carter, and, well, the Kings. They're my playoff club. The Oiler fans have learned to accept it of me. I'm not actually in LA. Was just going off the twitter feeds, what had been stated from several sources, Kings, etc. In fairness I'd never stated I was at practice or in LA.

As strange as the Oilers lineup up looks they probably play hard tonight because these are our playoffs..sigh

Knock em dead in the Playoffs guys. Yes, you will get there.

Really been impressed with Kempe and Iafallo all year. Nice young additions. Kempe looks to be a good 200ft player with blazing speed and some hands. Why do the Kings insist on playing Andreoff? So many questions in life. More as an Oilers fan..
