News/Notes: from Jon Rosen:

  • The LA Kings have been outscored 11-1 in first periods over the course of the past 7 games. 7 of those 11 goals have come within the first 6:30 minutes of the game. For the fifth time in 6 games, the Kings have given up a goal on the first or second shot against
  • Jonathan Quick will not be at the NHL All Star game in Tampa this weekend as it was revealed by Rob Blake that Quick is dealing with a nagging injury. With Quick missing the all star game he will automatically be suspended for the kings next game after the all the star game. Mike Smith will be his replacement.
  • Derek Forbort is also dealing with a minor injury. Unsure if he'll play tonight or not. May get to see Ladue make his season debut.
There's nothing positive from last game. Therefore no tweets of the game.

Remember when the Kings use to be the bullies...I miss those days.

Jonathan Toews 2013: "It Sucks playing the Kings, they hit you all over the ice and make you pay for every inch you earn".

But this is the NEW FLASHY NHL oooohhhh. This team is soft as hell. The 2012-14 Kings would be embarrassed by this rosters weakness.

O well I got to see one of the toughest teams ever assembled. Those days are gone and over.

Pretty much this.

Love the “omg new nhl speed and skill” as if speed and skill have never been valued in hockey up until two years ago.

The 2012-2014 Kings would have shat all over teams like the Flames and current Kings.

Ride out the blackhole suck years, then full rebuild. That’s the train I’m on.

Edit: Also 30 sec in is one of the biggest hits i never see on his highlight reels, speaking of Toews
