You would think a guy like Pettersson your highest paid player and 5th highest paid player in the NHL would step up his game to another level with the injuries and players missing Canucks have right now, but he just doesn't seem to have that next gear at all. Bad signing.

Jesus they've been rebuilding for ages and have a solid top pairing, Larkin/Raymond/Debrincat, and not much else (Rasmussen if we're really stretching here).

If you can't draft well, you have to be able to pick up guys in free agency/on the trade market, and they've been piss-poor at that.

Say what you will about the regression of our bottom 4 this year (which is still miles ahead of where it was with Benning), but Alvin has done a tremendous job at filling out the bottom of the roster up front with solid, reliable depth at a bargain price.

Teddy Blueger would be 5th on their team in goals and points.

At least it's not the first game of the trip. The team has been adjusted to east coast time for over a week.
