I mean they could give up another one and then the game is really over.

The point hes making is tocchet never calls time outs or rarely when the teams playing poorly.
I understand his point I’m just saying in this situation you probably just get to the intermission. But yeah he never calls timeouts.

Eventually you have to stop a scoring chance. Sure, you could give reasons why 3 of those goals went in, but Silovs has one of the worst goals saved above expected this season, and today has been equally brutal.

Defense isn’t as suffocating as yesterday, sure, but you can see how the teams team defense completely changed after the first goal because they knew they couldn’t allow anything on net on this guy, which led to an insane number of overcorrections and saves.

I don’t blame Tocchet for overplaying Lankinen, as you need to score 5+ to win with this guy in net.

Odds are pretty slim we’re coming back in this one..Canucks put themselves out of this one in a hurry.

It’s even gone past the worst lead in hockey.

It’s not all on Silovs, but at this level, you have to at least keep your team in the game.

To be fair, Silovs had an amazing sequence just before the 2nd goal, You can't say he isn't stopping anything. That last one was a huge overcommit on Crosby as the puck carrier, he should have had more than enough time to reposition instead of just diving and I think he took too much ice which caused that.

Other than that not sure there's too much he could have done on the other goals. You can't give up point blank back door passes across the crease.

I don't know what it is about Silovs, but the Canucks are just awful in front of him. I mean maybe the first goal was 'iffy', but the others, what hope did he have?

Guys standing around in front of the crease without a Canuck d-man laying a stick on them. Completely blown coverage on the fourth goal for a backdoor tap in.

You'd think after being forced into action in last year's playoffs, the Canucks would have his back. But no chance.

Forwards are going to have to help out this defense.

And how about some "game management" from the stripes? We're way overdue.

What the f*** happened to Silovs? How did this guy go from playoff hero to Spencer Martin with bad breath?

I'm honestly curious why he's even still up here, guy is shit.

Juuelsen, Soucey, and Myers look so sketchy out there. I have no trust in them to make smart plays.

Teams watch video. He has a weak glove side. He can't track pucks to it. The team hasn't worked on it at all. There's a simple fix but I don't know if the team has the talent to know how.
