That’s Hoglander’s spot. Is hog being pushed to the fourth with one of Bains/Sasson/Raty going out or is he getting scratched?
If he’s scratched for Bains or Sasson, that’s pretty hard to come back from… Sasson was decent in his debut and Bains is Tocchet’s boy (even if he wasn’t very good last game), but Hog simply can’t get scratched for them

I peeked at our schedule and the Friday game is noon PST while the Sunday game is at 9:30 AM PST. This and all the 2-3+ day breaks we’ve had so far is wild

US Thanksgiving weekend for the Americans. So, a bunch of early games. Today is the last practice until after the Minn game I would imagine. B2B, then day off for travel on US Thanskgiving, then a 3pm local start. Will travel after the game to Minny. Likely day off on Sat before the noon game local time on Sunday.

Shift Sherwood to the left side and slot Boeser in. DeBrusk is replaceable.
You lose forechecking speed then, I think Petey with 2 good skaters with skill and some physicality is a nice fit. You unlock Petey's upside with rush offense imo. I hope Tocchet doesn't pull the plug on this line so quickly even if they have a meh game or 2.

Boeser has become more of a cycle player, that's why he and Miller work so well. Watching Boeser play, his go-to move in the offensive zone is to cycle the puck and pass it back to the point and then move toward the net. Petey kinda sucks in the cycle.

Suter - Miller - Boeser
Debrusk - Petey - Sherwood
Joshua - Bleuger - Garland
Hoglander - Raty - Heinen

Easy.

Just seems like a game we lose. Marchand, Lindholm, and Zadorov all have big games. Hopefully I am wrong. I really hope I am.
It's going to be one of those games for sure. You nailed it. And then the worst part is that we'll have to read 24h of discourse about how they're both amazing and we should have given them the awful contracts they got.

Hoping DeBrusk (and Heinen) has a whale of a game for us, because you know Lindholm and Zadorov will be up for this one.

The Bruins always seem to mix us badly in their barn, would love to flip the script tomorrow.

Thats great news about Demko..I have a hard time believing that he'll stay healthy..Fingers crossed.
With their 4 games in 6 days (2 earlier games), not going to be another team practice after today until after the Minny game. So, Demko will be on his own or black aces for the next few days. No need to rush him back.

Boeser
  • Looked good today
  • Will talk to him later this afternoon and see if he’s ready to play tomorrow
  • Hasn’t had any setbacks over the last several days
  • Is their scorer; adding a guy that brings offense
  • Plays the game really well without the puck
  • Lines are a puzzle and will see where Boeser plays
DeBrusk
  • Thinks he’s getting used to the system
  • At his best when playing closer to the puck
  • Talks to him almost every day
  • Don’t want to overload players with information
  • Tocchet’s job is to make him consistent
Heinen
  • Smart guy that plays up and down the line-up
  • Can play different positions

Still surprises me how much the Canucks missed Boeser. He's the mix that stirs the drink on whatever line he lands on.....and is a staple on the first unit PP.

He may not get to 40-goals again, but he's getting into the 'must re-sign' territory by season's end.

The only way the Bruins win this one, is if they get some sort of 'dead coach' bounce. Was Montgomery all that unpopular though?

Seemed to me that at times he was seriously frustrated with the way the Bruins were playing. I guess they're not getting nearly what they expected out of the big-ticket signings of Lindholm and Zadorov.

Hopefully Debrusk and Heinen come back to Beantown motivated. Would be a big emotional lift if Boeser is back in the lineup.

It sounds like Boeser may return tomorrow, and Demko is inching closer.

Does this mean Demko took part in a regular practice because he is fully healthy now?

I sure hope it does, because having Demko in net obviously gives the team a technical advantage, but it will also imo give the team huge psychological boost. Don't be surprised if the Canucks all of a sudden start scoring a bunch of goals when Demko returns.

They are basically using three goalies during practice. Today, apparently, Demko was in net the majority of the time. Previously, he was on the light side of the rotation. Still doesn't mean he's going to get activated without several more practices.

Ya I’d imagine he’s going to need several hard sessions in a row/short period of time without any issues before getting activated.
