I sure hope so. I f***ing hate to wish for it but I hope we lose hard. Rangers are every bit as terrible as current-us and the Red Wings, another multiple-goal loss should at least throw some tear gas out. They're an outright-tank-and-rebuild team. I'm worried we're gonna get a boost from Brown and the Rangers being awful, but hopefully that's balanced out by Stevens and a matinee game. A win will give us "see? we're on the right track" hope and I'm not sure I can stomach that.

Have you guys seen the ticket prices on Stubhub? Tons of tickets listed for less than $15, and I saw some in the 200s in the $20 range.

The Kings are back to being one of the most irrelevant teams in the LA market.

This is why I have mixed feeling about firing Stevens.

I'm afraid that if they fire him, the team will improve just enough to put them in the black hole and we'll miss out on our opportunity to draft top 3.

On the other hand, having an ineffective coach can really hurt the development of younger players like Amadio/Kempe ect.

Tough situation, but I'd rather keep Stevens and tank than worry about Amadio's development.

I don't think Amadio was doing anything to warrant being in the NHL, you can blame coaching all day but Amadio has to take a step.

Same for Kempe and his 1 goal in his last 42 NHL games, that's not on Stevens. Just like Stevens was not responsible for Kopitar's-Brown's career years last year.

John Tortorella "It's terrible we have pretty much somehow sucked all the emotion out of the game, the product on the ice is terrible". "Scoring is slighty up though so I guess the suits up top are happy about that".

I agree but I think Amadio was less of a problem compared to others.
