Sideline said:I agree on the Stewart thing. Maybe they'll put him with Getzlaf and Carter. That would be a hell of a line to play against.
Then Ladd can go down to 13th forward. I don't mind Ladd killing the odd penalty when one of the go to penalty killers is in the box or filling in for a forward that gets the wind knocked out of them, but I don't want him getting a ton of other ice.
Remember kids, just say no to Andrew Ladd.

None of them have played any better then Ladd...

jericholic19 said:I'm hearing rumours that Sutter likes Beauchemin more but is being convinced by other(s) to start Glass instead because he's more technically sound. If that's the case, I'm on Sutter's side.
London Knights said:If that's the case then I have to question having Brent Sutter as the head coach if he isn't willing to make a decision. Team Canada doesn't need a technical goalie. They need a guy who will make the saves on short notice after going long spurts without facing anything. Glass still has time to prove himself but so far he is 0-1.

I agree with you, Canada needs players like Fraser to be successful. I was pleased with his contributions. I also did not think Ladd was horrible, i think Stewart and Dawes would have wanted to play better and tonite they get that chance.Rebel66 said:Colin Fraser certainly has. He's played extremely well on the PK. Did you notice that he was the first forward out on the 5 on 3 PK? Did you notice his setting up a goal on a plate for MacArthur? He's also been extremely effective on the 4th line. The hate on for Fraser is getting really tiresome as it's totally unfounded. Sure he doesn't stand out but ask any hockey people (not posters on message boards) and they really like the little things that he does on the ice.
edit: One more thing. Fraser is one of the best players at taking faceoffs. A number of times you'll see him out there to win a crucial faceoff then skating off for a change once that is accomplished. That's an important ingredient to have for any team as controlling the puck is paramount. It's not all about the flashy players people...
Andrew_11 said:Sounds like a sweet idea. I know people were pushing to get Ladd as 13th forward, and now with Colliton back, someone will have to be relegated. That would be a sweet line though (Carter-Getzlaf-Stewart)
Stewart 6'1 233
Getzlaf 6'3 209
Carter 6'4 207
I'd hate to be a defensmen when these guys are on the ice.

Egil said:I suspect that Sutter was pissed at the defensive play, and, to esnure that the players don't just sluff it off on the goalie, he is going RIGHT back to the same goalie. By doing this, it is CLEAR that Sutter wasn't happy with the defense. If you switch the goalie, then the defense doesn't feel as much heat.
