What can you tell me about Girardi, is he just a defensive dman, does he play a physical game, how is he with moving the puck out of the zone?
What is he worth on his next contract, how much money, and how long of term?

He likes diving for blocks and such.

Prone to terrible defensive zone lapses. Has been steady in the past but less so now.

If he's on your powerplay, you're doing something wrong.

Very durable. Plays physical but less so this year.

I wouldn't give him anything over 3 years, 4.5 per. Some team will give him 7 years, and I don't want it to be us.

Are people too young to get this?

I get it just fine.

He blocks shots. He's basically a stay at home D that blocks. That's about all you need to know. Messes up every now and again. He played better in zone coverage.

Durable--won't miss many games.

Can be good--I just wouldn't want to give him 7 (or 8 in our case).

He's a UFA a year's end and therefore has little to no value in trade proposals.

Don't know if I'd say that. He could be huge for a team that needs a good defensive d-man for a playoff run.

He could kick the D up a notch.

He has no real good abilities but he's stiff as a rock and can play a lot of minutes.

Would perfectly compliment a roaming, attacking d-man.

Seems like its the same thing after every game. Why is this happening?

No. Him and Del Zotto (not the best example, but it's the only one I have), were the worst pairing I had ever seen when they were together against Boston.

He compliments good defensive or two way defensemen like McD or pre-concussion Staal. Ones that can cover up for his ********.

Square peg, round hole.

Doesn't fit a tight, man defensive system...simple as that. His game was built around the zone defensive scheme and he excelled in it, this is a different system and he just doesn't fit.

Yeahhhhhh totally forgot about partnering with DZ lol.

That was awful.

Girardi is currently in the middle of his worst season as a Ranger IMO. However, he's two years removed from what was far and away his best.

At his best, he's a durable, shot blocking, stay at home defenseman, capable of putting up 30 solid minutes a night against the best talent in the league.

At his worst, he's a slow turnover machine, who is weak on the puck and has a tendency to put it in his own net.

Girardi was able to cover his shortcomings when it was just a blood and guts game, but he does not have a quick first step, is not known as a good passer and is not very mobile which makes him a detriment on the powerplay.
He would be a great addition to a team that wants what he can supply, augmented by more offensively explosive talent so the coach is not asking that of him.

Poor choice of wording

Must use Viagra to get these results at his old age.

Lol, just cause we throw every player here at the Rangers board under the bus doesnt mean he has no trade value. Id actually say he has pretty good trade value. When he was being discussed as a possibility for Team Canada, he has trade value.

Canada RD depth: Weber, Pietrangelo, Doughty, Subban. Girardi was never a possibility. Him on large ice surface? Lol.
