When the team decides to play a hard driving style, they are very difficult to contain. That second Marner goal wss a prime example, The D can't prevent the drive, he can only take a penalty.

Was good to see Gio score, he's been a solid pick up. As a team, they can't take the easy way out though for much of the game and expect success. It will be a quick exit if they do.

The team wasn't very physical tonight outside of the Bear. This is hopefully a function of the back to backs and nature of this game. They are much easier to handle when they play non-contact, perimeter, rush hockey.

Getting a win against this pesky team on the road is a bonus no matter how it is done. So, ultimately...

Take the two points and move on to tomorrow.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Matthews/Marner are having such an incredible year .
I think it’s because bunting is so much better than Hyman.
He never kills plays and can do just about everything well.

I think that liljegrin has improved significantly since gio arrived.
I still think though, that Keefe will bench him and start holl in the playoffs.

Muzzin more than likely is done, not good news but it does not look good for him atm, hopefully Sandins' knee will be healthy enough come the 1st round and Kivihalme is ready if called upon.

And of course we’re all focused on the two losses.

That doesn’t sound right. Most recognized that Holl needed to be pushed further down and 1 or 2 guys were needed. Dubas did excellent there.

Not true. I was pushing for Gio for a few months and he and Blackwell came surprisingly cheap given the market. It was a consensus that Holl needed to be moved further down the lineup preferably to be the teams 6th best dman or even in the press box. Dubas did a good job getting Gio and Boosh. Lybushkin isn't anything special but he was a need that was addressed.
