I think that liljegrin has improved significantly since gio arrived.
I still think though, that Keefe will bench him and start holl in the playoffs.
I don't even think it will be between Holl and Liljegren. Holl is in like a dirty shirt unfortunately. It will be between Lyubushkin and Liljegren. Unless Muzzin doesn't return.

Just watching the game tonight I noticed Matthews is developing a Lucic type hunch or slouch in his skating. I'm no doctor but I have a feeling the hairline to facialhair ratio might be throwing off the natural balance and symmetry of the body.

I hope the training staff is keeping a close eye on the issue because I'd hate to see one of the leagues best have their career cut short due to simple grooming and style choices.
worst post ive read in sometime, guess thats the quality of posts from the sens board.... just awful.... ps your team sucks

Sens fans coping and seething rn
Yup. I giggled at the comment by a Sens fan saying Leaf fans shouldn’t be too confident after beating a bottom feeder. Literally we play like a different team against contenders. Hopefully that stays par for the course into the playoffs.

Pretty sad that the majority of the Home teams seats are filled with an away fan base chanting the away teams name. No greater failure of an organization then to not fill your seats with your own jerseys.

Hoping Matthews pots his 60th soon. Also Bunting and Marner were unreal tonight.

You deserve this loss Ottawa. Also, wasn't this supposed to be the season they made the playoffs?

Somewhere out there that poster Rhaegar Targaryn is in his bedroom just screaming.

My goodness this is a crazy team to watch and cheer for. You just never know what's going to happen.

*Really liked seeing Mikheyev and Engvall given a chance in OT. Whether a reward for their recent good play, or because their speed when 3v3 is a weapon, a good decision by Keefe.
*I know it's common to harp on our goalies, Kallgren especially, but show him a little love for stopping the breakaway in OT.
*A nod to Clifford, good game.
*Was it me, or was the puck bouncing around a lot tonight?

Regarding the telecast: is Simpson being paid by the word? Damn man, shut up!
That breakaway OT save was huge. Campbell probably let’s that in.

Gio popped the roof off the CTC in overtime. Leafs Nation took over the building tonight and always nice to win in Ottawa 😎

Great to scratch out the win . . . wish it were easier . . . but it's the pros kids - it's the NHL, and everyone plays hard every night. Every shift.

So yeah, Again I wish it were easier but it's a solid OT win and keeps us on course until the next important game against a playoff contender.

Still giving up too many goals, but I'll always take a win. Good to see Bunting picking back up heading into the playoffs. That's a nice boost for the squad!

I was really hoping that Matthews would beat Ovechkin's best scoring season, but that's pretty unlikely with this small scoring slump he's working through.

Overall, a fairly fun game!

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Matthews/Marner are having such an incredible year .
I think it’s because bunting is so much better than Hyman.
He never kills plays and can do just about everything well.
What a pickup.!

Giordano acquisition has been paying off quite nicely. I also love that Blackwell was a part of that acquisition as well.

Marner and Bunting were fantastic, as was several others. Matthews didn't look his usual self, but 102 points, 58 goals. I will NOT be giving him any actual grief, just a mere observation. He'll get 60, he just needs to not overthink it.

Leafs played good at times, awful at others, not a solid defensive game, but their offense saved the day yet again.

I still love Lybushkin, every player has a terribad giveaway from time to time. It's not been a glaring part of his overall game since he's arrived in Toronto, so I won't knock him either, no need to.

I will, however, continue to give Holl grief because I think he sucks. My mind won't be changed about that... ever. :)

Just more proof that if Jack Campbell is injured or doesn't perform at his normal level come the playoffs, the Leafs have no viable options in net to get them out of their funk. It's not Kallgren's fault. he probably never expected to play in the NHL this season, neither did I until he did arrive. He's doing the best that he can, but it's not good enough for playoff goaltending, not at the NHL level, he's nowhere near ready as attributed to his sub .900% and 3GAA+ in 11-12 games.

The Leafs looked quite decent in the first period up until Ottawa scored, so it's not like they were awful in every part of their game like they were against Buffalo. In that game, no one really showed up.

Ottawa's coach said in a pre-game interview that Ottawa wasn't going to be giving away free points to Toronto or any other team the rest of the season regardless of where they are in the standings. I have to give it to him, his team usually competes hard in almost every game I've seen them play this season. Shows that you can't fall asleep against ANY team. The exception maybe being against Philly where Toronto only showed up for like 3 minutes of the third period and won the game with no effort most of the game.

I'm interested to see how Campbell fairs tomorrow. Hate these back-to-backs at any point of the season. but even moreso this late in the season.

Good character win.

It was a tough game, tougher I think than anybody was expecting, Sens matched the Buds in the circle, and pretty much were stride for stride all night, the Leafs weren't able to burn them all night with speed, and as we saw against Washington whom they skated through, around and by, speed kills!

The 1 line comes back next game and totally shakes the monkey, only because it's time.
