Yeesh Kopitar and Doughty still have term left, I thought they'd be at retirement by now. They are so over the hill.

I hope next year we play LA in the first round again lol. Though I'm sure they'll have a different coach at least.

I feel for both Kopitar and Doughty. I don't even think they're over the hill fully. Still good players imo. They're just too old to be playing ~22 and 27 minutes a night respectively. Especially matching up against McDrai. Doughty playing ~20 minutes a night on a teams 2nd pairing, or Kopitar at ~17-18 minutes as a 2nd line C. I'd gladly take either in that scenario. But as a teams best option...? They ain't it anymore.

Doughty might only be a year or two older than Ekholm and Klingberg, but he really cannot handle number one D duties. He got burned badly last year too.

I respect Doughty alot and I can tell McDavid does too and the respect goes both ways there... especially after 4 Nations... he and McDavid seemed to have built a bond. Doughty always plays us hard but he doesn't play dirty against us. He must have nightmares about Edmonton though lol.
