Took her to the vet today. It was the first time we've taken her. It was stressful do to her age, diminishing abilities, and incomplete med history. The mentally preparing for the (decent) chance I might have to make the hard decision took it out of me.

The good news is the vet was positive after his inspection of her. He said her lungs and heart are fine, and there isn't any growths anywhere. He gave her a rabies shot and some arthritis meds to try.

The bad news is she's old, losing muscle mass, going blind and deaf, has dementia and arthritis, and there is some neurological problem (honestly this part lost me). He told us to monitor her quality of life on a month-to-month basis.

A place.
Welp. My condition is worsening.

Ordered an iPhone 13 mini.

I'm just so sick of this oversized android phone that barely fits in my otherwise cavernous pockets. Giving this a shot.

You don't need to get the oversized android versions...I never do. My Galaxy s22 is perfect without going to the gigantic versions they also offer.

Using the large phone versions as an excuse... isn't an excuse since they also have not large versions.

Agreed, there are enough androids out there that there's one for just about everyone. I don't want a huge phone, but I also don't need it to be tiny. What I do want is for it to be inexpensive, so the Galaxy a32 is my jam.

That said, Apple's products are really elegant, they all work very well together, and that matters greatly to lots of people. You pay more for them, but they don't make you work as hard once you own them.

I just want an affordable phone which is not gigantic, has decent battery life, isn't made by terrible people, and doesn't come with tons of bloatware.

Needless to say, I've got just about zero options.

That is an amazing dog costume! Cutest bee I've ever seen.

Good on you for taking on an old one. They need love too, and even if it ends up being a short time, you're there for her.

We strapped a gorpo to one of the dogs last weekend as a test and this is some of the better footage. The old girl is doing really well on her new meds.

Not gonna lie, being a dog looks like fun. Holy heck this pups can fly.

He wasn't even going full speed. The gopro strap slipped so they were around his legs and he was being cautious. He'll run down a deer if giving the chance.

I'm not a religious man, but bless you for taking on and caring for this dog in her late years. We recently lost our Springer Spaniel to old age and disease a few months ago. It's so hard watching our beloved companions get old and have to make the agonizing decision to end their suffering when their quality of life has diminished to the point where it becomes necessary. Our pets bring us so much joy in life that we owe it to them to keep them comfortable and feel our love when their time draws near.

Today I saw Jurassic Park in 3D and Meg 2.

It's the first time I actually watched Jurassic Park, I've seen parts of it but never sat down and watched the movie. It's one of the wife's fav movies, so the chance for her to see it again on the big screen was something we couldn't pass up.

Meg 2 was, well, lets just say I'm glad I didn't pay more than $4 to watch it. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had a nice happy buzz going. Just sit back and enjoy the show without losing the suspension of disbelief during the movie.

Meg 2 was one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a while…

I really wish I could say the same thing. I watch a lot of really bad movies because the wife enjoys the type of movies that could featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
