Can we haz Scarface? :sarcasm:

Get ready for one way trip back to junior league Pete. I'm watching every game, and I know what it take to get team scoring goal. No more dump and chase crap, we come up with real structure system.

Hopefully we hire Boucher and when he starts to slip up, we blame Lou for hiring him

This is the way I see it: under JL, Fayne, JJ, & Teds seemed to be on the right path to developing into NHL players. Now? The all look like shells of their former potential selves.

If the team is going to be mediocre and possibly not be a playoff team nor develop their young players by letting them play, then what's PDB job right now? Keep in mind, before the injury bug hit the D, Larsson was being yo-yo-ed too.

Ugh. I really don't wanna see what happens if everyone gets healthy. Can PDB possibly play Harrold over Gelinas? Stay tuned to find out.

Would it honestly shock anybody though?

Exactly. And it's not just on Pete; what exactly is this organization's plan going forward because I don't see it at the moment for the reasons you mention.

My Armchair GM attempt at a rebuild

FIRE DEBOER

Jagr to Montreal for 1st Rounder + Gabriel Dumont
Ryder to Vancouver for a 2nd Rounder + Mallet
Fayne to Ottawa for a 3rd + 5th Rounder
Brunner to Phoenix for a 3rd + 5th Rounder
Zidlicky to Anaheim for a 2nd + 4TH
Harrold for a 6th Rounder to Minny

Soo we would have
1st (MTL)
2nd (NJ) 2nd (Ana) 2nd (Van)
3rd (NJ) 3rd (Phx) 3rd (Ott)
4th (Ana)
5th (NJ) 5th (Phoenix) 5th (Ott)
6th (NJ) 6th(Fla) 6th (MIN)
No 7th

Of course, unless we get out own 1st back by some way. I would also put Volch/Sal/Teddy and Lokti on the block and see what they can get

In my plan, he would be gone by then. I just did that cause a Canucks fan on the mainboard proposed it

So Devils fans aren't the only ones who dislike Deboer, huh? Now it seems that Canucks fans want him to get bashed on the head, too. :sarcasm:

But yeah....he'd probably be gone by then if this went down.....and hopefully SCARFACE is the HC.

Man my GMing would be great if I could find a way to get our 1st back

I would sue the NHL 2 weeks before the draft and make sure the hearing doesnt occur till after the draft soo maybe we would be allowed to use the pick

Kind of like A-Rod suspension was delayed cause they couldnt get he court hearing before the season ended

Ill hand in my resume tomorrow Mr. Harris

I always love your Guy Boucher act  keep it up

I was around for this conversation, but what has been everyone's thoughts on Merrill?

Personally, I see the potential, but right now he's too soft and he's overthinking. He needs to learn to use his size because he loses almost every board battle, and he also needs to relax more.

I thought he was pretty good for an emergency call up. he needs the rest of the year in the AHL but he looks good. very quick breakout passes and his work behind the net was good

I thought he got outmuscled way too much for a guy his size behind the net.

On Ruutu's goal, I think it was Staal completely manhandled him. I guess something like that grows with time, but thinking that he is a pretty big kid, and is older since he went to college, I guess I was looking for a little more strength and aggressiveness.

That's my thought right there.

And college is still a bunch of young guys. Certainly no full man strength type guys out there. And he didn't even get to play that much in Michigan.

So yeah, that's an area of improvement, but not a major concern.
