True, but I knew that going in so it didn't bother me too much. Apparently there's a lot more in the manga as well. If you liked it, I highly recommend checking out Makeine.
I finished Makeine and I fully enjoyed it. I do think there were some boring moments in a handful of episodes, like I think it goes too far in the slice-of-life genre, but I will definitely continue watching when season two comes out.

I get what you're saying. As for me, I enjoy those slow moments every now and especially in Makeine the visuals, the voice acting and the humor kept me glued to the screen. Just somehow felt such an unique show in a genre that has a very repetitive storyboard

I'm rewatching 86, still one of my favourite anime of the last couple years.
Since I binged DanDaDan in like two days, I am going to start Pluto and/or watch Fate Heaven's Feel, but I can't find Heaven's Feel anywhere. Where did you watch it?

I do like it because nothing works for the main cast, there's always pitfalls and setbacks which is very similar to real life. So, I am in full agreement that it was quite unique in a repetitive genre for sure.

I ended up buying Heaven's Feel, but I'm sure they are out there for streaming somewhere. Pluto is so good!

I couldn't find Pluto in any of my streaming services, so I decided to start The Apothecary Diaries, and yes it is a damn good show. I think it falls into a lot of anime cliches, but the mysterious elements have drawn me in big time and the change of setting in a fictional yet noticeable Chinese Empire has been wonderfully refreshing. I just feel that they could have had better production value considering how each episode is quite good instead of making it another Devil is a Part-timer level of quality. I am on the last two episodes and really interested in where it goes.

Pluto is a Netflix exclusive I believe.

The Apothecary Diaries really surprised me and is one of the best all-time for me. Maomao has a legit case for top MC over Frieren. Also the last 2 episodes are amazing

And season 2 comes out in January!

Apothecary Diaries was definitely one of my favs I've seen recently. Amazing MC but my favorite thing about it is kind of spoilery so I won't mention it.

Another banger episode. The new curse transformation design is 🔥🔥🔥

Completely loving the show while simultaneously realizing that I can't talk about the plot with absolutely anybody outside of the sphere. That's a good quality anime.

So I fecked up lol. I swear I thought there were only 12 episodes, but when passed it I randomly saw there are like 20+. I still got a long way to go lol.

I do want to take back my production comment a tad. I would like to see more character movement like we see in Dandadan, but the backgrounds in this show are pretty damn legit.

Got lots of recommendations if you want any. I'm sure others here will as well.
I would appreciate it, Im not sure if I'll be into everything Anime right away but I love Demon Slayer,
I dont really know how to explain what I like about it, it's just such a cool story and awesome battles, drawings or animation is very well done too. I just finished season 3 episode 6 or maybe 7. man so good

If you want something recent where every episode matters and every episode is great, I can't recommend Frieren enough. So, SO f***ing good. Might be my favorite anime of the last decade. It's a fantasy setting with quite a bit of talking and drama, but it's 100% worth it. Plus, the animation, characters, music and writing are all top notch.

You can never go wrong with Cowboy Bebop. So damn good from top to bottom. Surprisingly, even the English dub is the preferred one worldwide. It's also a very western anime, with very very few Japanese references. Great writing, music (holy shit the music), characters and even some good humor thrown in there.

I think you might enjoy Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (GitS SAC for short) 1st and 2nd Gigs (1st and 2nd seasons).

While I haven't seen it, people swear to Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Hope these help.
