Going to be a dandy. The Swedes woke up after their loss to Latvia. I predict a close game. 4-3 Fin in OT.

Sweden is much much weaker than Finland. Anything else than a blowout is a major suprise.
Yes the only real question here is wether Finland will score more or less than 1 goal/min

I think Finland still wins group even if they lose the game by 1 goal in regulation. So Finland doesn't need to win, or even tie - just lose by 1 goal at most.

Hopefully they don't chill too much and actually take this seriously.

But huh, do they actually show this game in North America or something?

Depends.

If Latvia doesn't get 3p from their game then Finland must either win or go to OT to win the group.

If Latvia gets the 3p(and exits the game with less than a +8), then Finland can lose by max 1 goal in regulation to win the group.

Oh right, I guess it's possible that Latvia loses to Switzerland. But I thought they were better than Switzerland, and they also defeated Sweden. Oh well, I guess the safest thing to do is to just win.

edit: And Latvia did lose to Switzerland. So Finland needs to tie. Sigh!

If Canada loses against Czechia the loser goes against Canada so possibly very important game.

No Leo Carlsson is a huge blow. Hävelid starting in goal is also a blow, probably.

I'm glad to see Ismo Lehkonen in the studio. Finally this Discovery channel TV5 hired a proper and interesting ice hockey studio guy.

Definitely. I don't always agree with him on everything but he's articulate and not afraid of saying interesting things and giving strong opinions. Much rather have him than random ex-player x who says random nonsense with no thought behind it.

Yes definitely. They need to no more hire guys like Niklas Hagman because he was in dancing with the stars program. It was their ploy to get in more female viewers clearly. Selänne and Timonen also weren't good fits nor Osala.
