GDT: GDT #72 New York Islanders @ Tampa Bay Lightning | March 29th | 2 PM | F/5-3 L

And people bash me for wanting to trade Sorokin lol, anything short of a complete fire sale on anyone in this organization who is over 25 means we are going to be a mediocre to bad team over the next 10-12 years at least, time to get rid of the 82 year old GM and put pressure on the owners to hire a competent and younger GM (not Lamoriello nepos)

I’m more so singling out the poster (not you) who only logs on to whine about Sorokin and genuinely thinks he’s the main problem.
I mean there are posters who log on just to whine about Barzal even when he's not playing. Barzal has done more for this team than Sorokin has ever done and carried them on two conference finals runs that Sorokin played little to no part in.

People seem to forget all the playoff runs were all Varly. Sorokin did nothing. He has done nothing of note for this team since he became the supposed starter.

If someone offered me a first round pick and a young top 6 winger or top 3 dman, I trade Sorokin without a thought. His stats can be replaced for half the price.

It's 70+ outside today. I encourage all of you to leave the TV and enjoy this weather, I haven't watched a second today they don't deserve any of our time.

This team better lose every remaining game, we have to have some kind of hope for the future and we can only get that with a top 5 pick and since Lou didn't take the necessary steps by trading some vets at the deadline the team has to do it on their own

We will be lucky to get a win over the next 5 games. Lou’s stubbornness is preventing any kind of change/improvement. I will not be surprised if they keep Lou and we show up next year with a very similar roster. Ownership has to step in…

Na we are going to begin winning when the wild card is out of reach and we know there is no chance of making the playoffs

Not being facetious —- but do you really think the “lose every game” or “intentionally tanking” is truly a thing in professional sports?

No, but it's what the team has to do, I know the players like the GM and probably the owners couldn't care less about this team 5 years from now but it is what has to happen to have any hope

Respect to this team for not quitting.

That said pretty sad that they keep falling behind and have to catch up every third.

Even more sad… We wind up facing more back up goalies because the other team rests their starer against us. Goes to show you what the league thinks of us.

Glad the answer was “no”

:)

it'business. in a system having franchises rather than sport clubs and more important no relegation system with fear to relegate to lower league it can be okay to take a year tanking for draft picks in lottery for rebuild of the team
