GDT: GDT #50 New York Islanders @ Philadelphia Flyers | January 30th | 7:30 PM | HULU/ESPN+ Only | F/W 3-0

Apropos of nothing, Simon Holmstrom just scored his 27th point in his 43rd game.

Alexis Lafreniere has 30 points in 50 games.

Neat little stat I just found interesting.
I have to eat some crow. I absolutely HATED drafting Holmstrom in the draft. I complained about it for years, said he would never play an NHL game, just a lot of negative things.

He really has turned into a valuable Islander. And he has shown the ability to snipe. Playing with so much confidence, so great to see.

For the tanking crew...we should trade Romanov so hopefully we can get that mid/last 1st back for him. Picks>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>established NHL players.

Gatcomb plays the way you want your 4th line to play, you win playoff games with that type of play
He's plqying like Clutter and can definitely get to a 10-goal production rate. Also, Maclean is playing better with them together.

I like this Gatcomb kid. Plays hard and finishes every check. He should watch Cal Clutterbuck tape and just emulate that and he'll find some success.

A man of culture as well, I see.

Holmstrom and Sorokin continuing their incredibly strong play - both look great. Mayfield continues to look a bit lost

what a stupid comment...we are talking about trading Nelson and Parms...you didn't hear me or any other "Tanking crew" talk about Romanov. Get a grip.....you'd think we are winning the cup right now.

Much better communication and an adjustment defending a 3 on 2.
3rd man back goes towards the long pass and the 2nd defender takes the middle instead of splitting the seam.
