Garth Hudson, master instrumentalist and last surviving member of The Band, dies at 87

Garth Hudson, the Band’s virtuoso keyboardist and all-around musician, has died at age 87. Hudson, the eldest and last survivor of the group which once backed Bob Dylan, has died at age 87.

I would have to say Rush is the greatest but you are right, it seems strange they are all gone now, doesnt seem like that long ago.

That is one of those programs that I will always stop on and watch the rest of when I am flipping thru the channels

Rest in peace Garth Hudson. Everybody goes eventually, and he lived a long life, but it's still sad.

I liked about him is that while Robertson was chipping back and forth with Danko. Helm and Manual(mostly Helm) Hudson made a statement like "I have no idea who is saying what, I read books not newspapers"

What I like most about the band is the fact the showed Canada could produce good musicians
