I've been playing on franchise mode on superstar using the full sim sliders and then bumping up the goalie sliders to about 80-90. The scores are still around 10-7 every game. id like to try to make it so its difficult to actually score and my goalie doesn't give up 7 goals on 15-20 shots.

I don't think I've ever seen scores like that in my franchise mode, and I have penalties maxed and default settings otherwise

Yeah those kinda scores have never been the norm for my playthroughs and I just use the default sliders for the most part, maybe a bump here and there on injuries.
Goalies aren't the problem so much in the game. Turnovers are probably an often overseen factor. Turn down interception east slightly and turn down stick checking effectiveness. Although I don't start from full sim and have never had that problem. If you have bad goaltending and an all offensive team, then those are realistic scores.
I wish this was the case, I use the Rangers so I have the offense but the CPU scores on Henrik so often. Might just be because I'm not tightening up on D, but I still would like the other goalie to limit the amount I score. But its a video game so I see why this is the case

The (relatively) famous AlTito's sliders. Works great in Play Now mode but might need some tweaking for Franchise as the game seems to play differently for every game mode, wich is really annoying.

#26, the sickest of 'em all.
Yeah I use those sliders but if I play a game in Franchise Mode the scores are always sky high. The bigger problems than the sliders are the CPU not covering and the opposing CPU having the perfect shot accuracy and puck control. It's ridiculous.
