Sure enough! Could've sworn it was this year for some reasonAlan Wake came out last year.
I'd like to play games like Infinite Wealth and FF7 Rebirth but I just don't have enough interest to play 9 other games or play 3 other games and watch a movie in order to understand the story when I have so many other games in my backlog
It feels that way for me too. Probably because it was recently on sale and it gained more publicity from it.Sure enough! Could've sworn it was this year for some reason
I'm sure I could still enjoy it, but if I do, I would go back and play other games in the franchise afterward and at that point I might as well have just started with the older entries. You don't really need to play the other games in the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series to enjoy Infinite Wealth or any other game in the series.
Kiryu has jumped the shark to such extent that I'd rather play these last few games first and experience the good times with him only afterwards.
Maybe that’s what I should do. I’ve played Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2 and really loved them. But now I’m at Yakuza 3 and it’s been a slog. Definitely feels dated after those other games and I usually find excuses to play other games while only picking it up occasionally. It would definitely be cool to experience the full story but idk if I have the strength to power through these older ones before getting to the modern ones again.
Also as a RPG fan first and foremost, I really want to try the Like a Dragon games and think I might prefer them to the beat em up combat.
Yakuza 3 was by far the worst one for me. I liked the unique Okinawa setting that you don't get anywhere else in the series but everything else was very weak.Maybe that’s what I should do. And Harrison Ford. Butchering Melina Jürgens' name.Well this year's show has started off with a bang, holy shit. Witcher 4 and A NEW STANDALONE ELDEN RING?!?!?!?
New GTA 6 trailer probably.Outer World's 2 is coming out a lot sooner than expected. I know Obsidian has 2 or more teams, but I wasn't expecting it and Avowed in the same calendar years.
Some big announcements so far. I wonder what the closer is. Some speculation it's something from Naughty Dog or Sony Santa Monica.

Rockstar doesn't usually show stuff at the Game Awards. They tend to just do big twitter drops.New GTA 6 trailer probably.
What better way to say "f*** you, twitter!"Rockstar doesn't usually show stuff at the Game Awards. They tend to just do big twitter drops.
I sort of agree with what you're saying. At least it is firmly NOT a live service game...This new Elden Ring game looks strange. It seems to have enemies/assets ripped straight from Dark Souls games combined with some Sekiro-esque movement all in the Elden Ring world.
This feels like something From Software's B-team is making while the real follow-up to Elden Ring is being developed. I'll keep an eye on it, but as of now I'm not too excited about this one. It gives off "Elden Ring sold 25 million copies and corporate is demanding a sequel" vibes.
