Habs had an opportunity to win 3 in a row but unfortunately, the Wild prevailed 4-1 in their Tuesday match up. It would have been a milestone of sorts, since they were not able to win 3 in a row, at any time in the past season. The loss reminded us that there are ways to go before this club progresses to the next step.
Two changes to the lineup are expected for this game against the Jets: Monty will get the start and Edmundson is expected to be inserted into the starting lineup according to several beat reporters.
In the last few days, there has been a saga involving Dadonov, the healthy-scratched or possibly flu-afflicted mucker whose agent pitched a call to Kent Hughes about his client's deployment. It appears that Daddy-O was fearing a demotion to make room for an incoming healthy body. Essentially, Hughes ended up meeting with the player and told him point blank that he was taken out of the lineup cause he wasn't producing.
Clearly, we did not get the once productive Dadonov, but more of a crapshoot.
You add the Dadonov situation to the disappearing act that has been Armia and it makes you wonder -- how does Armia become anyone's "national" hockey hero? How did he brainwash KK? The man is a wizard!
We've seen no hero since Armia has been here -- he's been mostly a disappearing act.
There have also been bright spots, of course. Two of them are Kaiden Guhle and Jordan Harris, whose ice times since the start of the season have been surprising. In fact, Guhle has logged in an average of 20:56 minutes per game and Harris an average of 20:48 per game, putting both in second and third spots respectively behind leader Owen Power for average TOI per game by rookie defencemen.
Gentlemen, take a bow.
Speaking of power duos, are there more prolific on this team than Suzuki and Caufield? Suzuki is so crafty, his passing is uber-wordly, which prompted Caufield to dub him with a new moniker.
And finally, we can't possibly have a Jets thread without bringing up our favorite whipping boy. Hey Scheifele, we hope you've overcome your rage and your bloodshot eyes. Some Flanders you are.

Bringing back this classic, for old times' sake. GHG!
