Ultimately, we have had more than enough chances, but when a team that relies on its special teams has a TOTAL off-night in that category it can show. More so when you gift away a couple.

Will say that the Malkin line has been pretty good and has created chances. Certainly our best in this one. That's one thing to build on.

Another great line from the Toronto cast earlier: "Aston Reese - weak and wide".

Aren't those 4 players interchangeable? Not sure how they expect a better end result to this season when it's basically the same team, simply a year older.

And they doubled down on signing a 37 year old player and have made a guy who was out of hockey a fixture in their lineup.

Youthful energy could be a huge boost to the team. Instead we have a ton of crusty vets, all very comfy knowing their coach has their back........and the FO has his back.

They refused to use him with Blueger who he would actually do really well with and still kept trying to make him work Zucker. I would have loved to see Zucker-Blueger-Rodrigues/Carter as the 3B line.
