You're assuming Perets has some future prospects.
He's a warm body in the system until Khazeyev is ready.
Edit: yeah, the minor league numbers for the two may be similar right now. Perets is 24 going on 25 after a ful college career; Khazeyev turned 20 last week and this is first experience in North America.

I will say, we all want Svech to find more “Tkachuk” in his game, but every time he dials up the Tkachuk-meter even by one, he gets 4 minor penalties for breathing on guys.
I don’t know how Florida gets away with it except I guess there’s a ceiling to how many minor penalties a team can get called in a game and the refs come into Florida games with a different chippiness barometer.
