This is interesting. Both teams struggle to score goals at even strength (ES).

=== ES Conclusion ===

While it does look like the Leafs have the advantage in ES play due to defense, the Leafs have not looked good in their past three games, which are all losses. And they are playing the second of a back-to-back. Not that it matters b/c we said the same thing about the Bolts.

The battles of the losing streaks... err, wits have begun.

Is drysdale driving y'alls powerplay? Or shattenkirk now that drysdale is not playing?
nope. eakin in his coaching wisdom think it's better to let Fowler, Klingberg and Shattenkrik run the PP. it's 0/21 btw.

Leafs have been struggling a lot judging from their fanbase. none playing with effort. they will of course play their hearts out tonight and embarrass us.

There are three teams worse than the Ducks on the PP: Florida, Montreal, and Columbus. Columbus has yet to score a PP in 23 opportunities. I still don't think that makes us feel better, though.

In the last three games, Toronto has given up 5 PP goals in 12 opportunities. They are struggling.

Oh... you want to know about the Ducks' PK recent activity on the PK?

It's a work in progress and a lot more promise than the Ducks' PP unit.

Advantage: Even

.
=== Special Teams Conclusion ===

With the Leafs struggling in the past three games, there is hope they can help kick start our PP back up again. It's the Leafs' fifth game in 8 days on the road. Maybe all the small improvements can help both PP units. Although, if Drysdale doesn't return, the chances of the PP scoring dwindles greatly.

Will McTavish ever be able to unleash that big shot of his on the PP?

To be fair, asst. coach Brown runs the PP unit. When the PP couldn't generate any shots on a 5-on-3, then Eakins grabbed a random group of five to put onto the ice and they generated shots.

Drysdale was a part of the PP in a recent game. He had the most PP ice time by a defender against the Bolts two games ago, but got knocked out of the last game early against Vegas.

3 in 4 for the Leafs and last game of a road trip. At the very least Toronto plays a style that we’d have a better chance of success against. still out-skilled by a ton

You’re lucky I am not doing the Ducks GDT’s anymore and called me out on it. :sarcasm:

But yeah, it can be confusing especially for an early game….well earlier for you guys of course.
