Nice pick play by the Devil's player tying up Lohrei after he dropped the puck back.
Oh well.
Whatever.

On to watch the Flames try to win a "must win"

For the people raging on posters who want the best possible draft outcome for the Bruins. You got your wish, the Bruins collected their point!

Shit show.

Now we need to rely on shitty teams to win their final game, lol.

Thankfully against another bad team

That point might cost them a spot, but the Pens game did more damage both in being a win and a road game where they could have rested their better players and completely mailed it in and nobody would have cared. I appreciate that at home you're rather obliged to make some kind of effort, especially when it's the last game of the season.

But we will see what the Flyers do. I reckon they lose in regulation but you never know. It was nice to see some good stuff from Lysell, Dino, Farinacci and Minten anyway, plus the usual from Pasta and Geek.

Even pick 5 is a pretty fair tanking effort given where they were at the deadline. In that sense, you'll take it.

Farewell and good riddance to a lousy season. Hello to an interesting and hopefully productive offseason. Thanks everyone for the comments, chat, laughs and banter over the journey. Thanks @Fenway, @Gee Wally and the rest of the mods for all your efforts as always.

Boston should simply lose by default... they would respond to most demands and pick a better lottery draft :)

Always tough to see the hockey season end. It's another year gone off my life, and theirs . I don't hate any of these guys. They played hard to the end of the season, I respect them for that. It was just one of those years that started off on the wrong foot, and any time things started to brighten a bit bad things happened.

I just hope they are able to return healthy and ready to go in September. With a resigned Geekie, and maybe a couple of interesting new pieces, and they'll be back in postseason next year
