I would like to think our mods deserve the credit for riffle's long overdue disappearance.
Why would you expect that? One of our longest serving moderators liked a bunch of his nonsense. Even posted similar bs today

I'm not afraid to admit I'm more fearful of playing Tampa than Boston. Probably can't speak for the Leafs but I'm sure they have a preference and their actions make it appear its Boston.

Goalie Vas scares me, as he is a proven money goalie in the playoffs posting shutout in 5 straight series in the deciding game and could easily do to our Leafs what Carey Price did last year.

While having Bergeron shutting down Matthews is also a pick your poison outcome, but its a much more even matchup when it comes to the goalie comparisons in the series.

Until someones does it the 2 X Champs are still the toughest opponent and team to beat on the road to the Cup.

If Tampa wins tonight its a moot point and bring on the Champs. !!!

Considering you can't even ascertain that the Leafs decided to rest everybody prior to whatever Tampa and Boston did last night then I don't think you're capable of deciphering who it is the Leafs want to face.

IMO Boston & Tampa both would prefer to swap spots in the standings.

Tampa would get the easier path to the conference finals & Boston would avoid Carolina in Round 1 who absolutely embarrassed them this year by a combined score of 16-1 in 3 games. (3-0, 7-1 & 6-0)

to be fair they've lost to us 11-6 in 2 games, and 4 of those goals came against our backups, when they never faced the canes backups.

Have anyone think that both Bruins and TB want to avoid playing the Leafs in the first round?
Andersen is injured and even if he is 100%, he tends to choke in playoffs. Not to mention an easier path to Conf Finals.

Zeke and one other poster noticed a posting pattern between here and the Isles board a few days ago. He disappeared once it was pointed out.
Yep it’s like the junior Nancy Drew Mystery solving club around here now.
Hopefully playoff threads won’t be constantly derailed by this garbage.

Woah I missed this. @zeke what did you find?
Exact same writing style and posting almost identical things on two accounts. The "Leaf fan" one made in March 2022, claiming to be a die hard for 10+ years but finally making an account only to shit on the team. I'm positive it was our boy bucky. If you're still here creeping I hope you like my avatar :D

It’s fun to imagine the path to success. Boston-Caps-Rangers-Stars could happen, it could be Tampa-Panthers-Carolina -Avs as well.

Some seem easier than others. Hot goalies can change impressions quickly. As long as Jacks healthy and on his game, I love our chances.

I have sire and I already made a huge statement of it earlier. I know bout life and hockey and invested hard on tampa's intentional lose tonight y'all. :paper: 💵 :money: :pay: :owe me: :owl:

Tampa is always cheating and they know the story. They even keep players out of their lineup. For real. They ain't playing for the win tonight. They will sit suckas hard. Learn bout it later. And invest hard on it.

Good company - Nancy always cracked the case.

Why do people make burner accounts to troll? Are they just unhappy in their life and this cheers them up? I don’t get making a fake account to get people all angry. Is your life so unhappy you need to go to these measures to cheer yourself up? For all you trolls reading I would appreciate a response back.

almost as weird as the posters who find out that the posters that agree with them are all burner account trolls...... and then get angry at the people who exposed them instead.

My first thought is resting the top players and preventing injury. That's actually my only thought on it the team has to play whoever and the best teams to make it deep so it shouldn't matter.
Stay healthy play hard is all that matters
:dunno:
That is true, and its not uncommon in sports not just hockey to rest your starters in a mean nothing game prior to the playoffs. Happens all the time when outcomes are predetermined prior. .

However benching your best players in a game that determines your precise opponent in a direct matchup is not standard operating practice.

Winning brings on the stronger and defending Champs and losing increases your odds of drawing an easier and better matchup.

Our Leafs haven't won a playoff round in 18 years, so I'm okay with potentially losing\throwing this game by benching key players, with the end justifying the means of increasing the odds of ending that streak. I know lt might come across as self serving my own best interest, but I just want our Leafs to finally win a playoff series again. Not risking key injuries in the process only benefits the interest further but the actual opponent still the higher priority.

Being afraid to play players for fear of potential injury risk is a passive not aggressive way to approach getting ready for the playoffs. IMO

It’s like inception. Burner account within a burner account.
