Sorry to intrude, but what happened to Puck U's game day threads? Don't get me wrong, this is a nice GDT (and still 100x more detailed than ours in the Anaheim board), but it seemed like Puck U had been doing the GDTs here for a really long time. I hope he just took a break, and that nothing bad happened to him (or her).

7-0 for you guys? We have 6 NHL forwards (Hall Eberle RNH Perron Gagner Hendricks) and the rest are AHL callups. Our only experienced Dman is Petry. We have 3 rookie Dmen+Justin Schultz +Fraser who can't even skate backwards (or forwards).

PS- Scrivens is awesome. Not just as a goalie. But an awesome character and person.

I don't think you understand the Kings' M.O. against clubs with callups Just cheers to a clean game with no injuries and I hope some youth continues to emerge for you.

Also yeah, you won't find many here that dislike Scrivens. I think 99% of us were sad he had to go yet excited for his opportunity...and he's just a great human being.

Oh well, we'll always have this.

"The Lower The Opponent, The Worse You Play - That's Not A Statement, But A Damn Order!" Chapter 2 in Kings Hockey 101 (coming soon to a bookseller nearest you).

I still believe a Division III high school team could contend with the Kings on any given night during the regular season. And if said DIII team wanted a guaranteed two points, they should show up in the afternoon on a Saturday and bring a national TV station to televise it.

Oh, and throw someone in net that hasn't played a single game. Ever.

Agreed -- the Scrivens Stare was such a classic wonderful moment! I'm very glad the Kings had him when they did - I shudder to imagine Jones having to become a starter when Quick went down early in the season -- later in the season was the right time to bring him up. Scrivens got the Kings through a very dicey stretch with great play and character. I wish him the best -- except against the Kings, of course
