GDT: Game 80: Habs vs Leafs, April 12th, 7 PM | CBC, SN, TVAS

I don't think dobes was obvious choice in this case. I avoid back to back starts for goalies in general, but Ihis is not a general circumstance. I keep referring back to luongo saying it took a week to recover from a b2b. The club may have thought about giving themselves the best chance to win with their best lineup tonight, then Monty gets a week off before playoffs regardless.

Ideally, you want to bring in demidov in a condition where that playoff cloud is no longer above you head by winning tonight. There will be enough circus atmosphere to deal with anyways.
I’m fine with it. Monty needs a break and needs to be fresh. Dobes gives the team a chance to win. I would’ve started him yesterday though

They just had a 6 game win streak and have been one of the best teams over the last 20ish games in the entire league...this narrative that they are getting a playoff spot by default is ridiculous.

I got the sense that it simply means it's going to be difficult for opposing teams to run the table, which is also true.

nothing ridiculous there, just a low probability scenario, but 3 games left is 3 games left not 10 not 5, 3

I'm not even sure it's laziness, he looks like he can't move his arms
Maybe and that’s spread to his legs? If he’s that hurt take him out and rest him, since the 4 Nations he’s been our worst player by a lot, can’t even clear the puck on the PK, against the Sens he didn’t even skate to 50/50 pucks, looked like Drouin putting in enough effort to not get there in time

C'mon, adapting to new time zones is not hard at all. What the hell are these excuses from people? I've been all over the world and had no problems adapting anywhere the next day. Just don't sleep at your usual time during the trip. If you tough it out for one day, you're set. It's people who are too weak to tough it out on that inital day that get jet lagged for multiple days.

Besides, he's been here since thursday. Time zones shouldn't be a problem. Even if it was, there are countless examples of athletes performing at very high levels with little or no sleep.

The reason he's not playing is not because of the time change.
I can't beleive half of the posts are related to the jet lag and time zone. And I'm reading some of this, lol. Suddently we have 30 experts in jet lag/time zone, lol.
I suggest we let the team to decide and focus on hockey on the ice*.

*Field hockey exist.

Just shows how starved for talent we’ve been over the years really

I don’t remember anyone saying complaining when Sportsnet was tracking Ohtani’s alleged flight on live television (this isn’t directed at you just a thought)
I saw some people thinking it’s crazy and the same thing when Leonard came to the raptors. Whatever though it’s still going to be amazing to see. I’m just an even keel kind of guy. Wasn’t trying to tell anyone how to think
