Versteeg is day-to-day but participating in practice.
Gaborik - LTIR - Started skating yesterday on his own. No timetable for his return.
Greene - LTIR - Has begun skating in some practices to get back into shape, but is not expected back soon.
Nolan is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery for a herniated disc.

Would really have liked the divisional banner and the best regular season in LA's history, but we never can have regular season nice things
 
The Kings are playing a team on a back-to-back that just lost 8-3?

Kings lose 3-1.
 
i've watched calgary yesterday against the ducks. it's a bad team, their defense really sucks, it sucks so much that i even expect brown & lewis & king to score tonight... but good 20 minutes alone won't be enough. personally my ideal scenario is calgary to score first or even lead 2-0, so that i'll get some decent live odds on lak.
 
I've said it 100 times and I'll say it again: I absolutely hate it when teams get steamrolled in Anaheim before they play in LA (and somehow they always play in Anaheim first). They're 100% guaranteed to bounce back.

- Divisional matchup? Check.
- Home game? Check.
- Opponent coming off a loss in Anaheim? Check.
- Backup in goal? Well, everyone on Calgary kinda is...

It's my ideal scenario too, but for a different reason: because when we take the lead we usually end up losing.
 
I wish we could have picked up Jamie mcginn. He's been awesome for the ducks. He would have fit our system real well...im not sold on versteeg.

should be advantageous for LA..I am sure Ducks fans are pissed by this.
 
If the Kings win 6-1, while holding Calgary to under 20 shots; yup, about what I expected.

If the Kings lose 2-1, while getting 56 shots against any goalie the Flames put in net, 30 of which came in the 1st period after which the Kings are down 1-0; yup, about what I expected.
 
I'll be there tonight. If I can't find a Kings shirsey at the mall I'll be the only ********* in the arena with an Islanders jersey on :laugh:
