I believe the Bruins want this player, and they might pick him even if they won the lottery

I'd be shocked if they took a Boston College player :sarcasm:

To be honest, I don't know much about Hagens, although some prospect sites have him at #2 or #3 and one site has him at #1 ..so he might not even be available

..what are the chances of him being another Johnny Beecher??

I would like to thank myself for whining about no call ups and boom call up. 😂

Finally a reason to watch. Here’s to Minten looking good and Lysell showing something more. Very surprised both will be in the lineup

Unlikely. Think more Jack Hughes or Johnny Hockey

I think the top 3 will be Schaefer, Misa, Frondell and if the Bruins are 4th then Hagens could be a good pick

I want misa or frondell the most, both would mesh well with pasta and extend his window

I don't give a shit. I don't root for failure and certainly not manufactured failure. It is embarrassing and hypocritical.
I fully understand the reasoning behind embracing the tank. I get it 100%, but I have to agree with you. I want them to win every game and have since I was five years old. In fact, I can remember crying when they got eliminated, but that was way back in 2023.
I want the crappy bunch we ice every night to give their all and try to WIN! Besides, what difference does a draft pick make when you know numbskull is going to pull a “Shenny” on us anyways.

I hope they win every game from here on out....as long as every team in draft position 5-15 wins every one of their games also

Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins
7 p.m.

Carolina clinched another spot in the postseason this week, and in all likelihood will be the No. 2 seed in the Metropolitan Division (barring an epic collapse by the Capitals to boost them to first, or by themselves to drop to third). Meanwhile, the Bruins are likely going to miss the postseason, which would be the first time since 2015-16. On the bright side, they're currently fourth in the draft lottery order, a point ahead of the Kraken and Sabres

Correct.

Right out of the1996-97 Harry playbook.

Bad coach in place. Trade vets for young players and pick. Go 5-14 after the that. Secure top pick (Joe Thornton). Get real coach (Pat Burns) the next season and make the playoffs.
☑️ On all counts.

These guys are just thrown in. Late season training camp.
We cut some fat off something that was going to happen now or later. But with the contracts coming up it had to be done now.

Cool that Fraser is up.

I'm sure he'd rather be on a more competitive team like Prov right now lol

But hey, it'll be nice to watch him and Lysell.
This guy? He was a Leaf fan, bah.

I get the conflict, win or get a better draft position. I’ve often thought tanks could be avoided if the draft position were reversed for teams outside the playoffs. So, if you place 17th in the league at the end of the regular season, you get the first overall pick, 18th, you get the second, etc. Wouldn’t that make everyone want to win every game, and prevent teams from purposely tanking? Might be missing something...

It is an interesting suggestion and what is the harm in exploring it. There's nothing wrong with trying to add a smidge of integrity back into the game.
