It's funny how every hockey expert had us last in the conference and bottom 3 in the league(pre-season predictions), but there was one guy, a former player, who felt there was something special going on in Montreal, and he felt the Habs could make the playoffs. Does anyone here remember who it was?

The future is bright.Nope. But I and a very small number of other posters nailed this outcome to the season back in September pretty accurately.
While many were adamant KH was asleep at the wheel and we didn't improve enough via summer transactions, I thought it was quite obvious that the cohesion of the group would be a strength, along with the role buy in of our vets and natural progression of our young core. If we could avoid major injury issues to our thin top 6 & top 4 talent, I knew this was a team that would compete for a playoff spot right to the end.
If anything, my surprise is that we have done as well as we have despite significant missed time to our best dman heading into the season (Guhle) and 2 top 6 forwards (Dach & Laine).
Like I've been saying....

Glad for him. At one point he was a top line winger. - Yeah it was a low scoring era and he got hurt all the time but he was really good. What I can't believe is Gally sitting at 19 goals. Never in my wettest dream would I've imagined.
He had the puck bunnies humming iirc.Glad for him. At one point he was a top line winger. - Yeah it was a low scoring era and he got hurt all the time but he was really good.

All the while simultaneously very visibly losing his hair rather early.which is pretty creepy considering he looked 12 for the first few years of his pro career.
Idk I feel like you're not alone. I have the Habs schedule tattooed on my thigh so I never miss a beat, but I saw other posters talking about how tonight was gonna be ther night.Okay why did I think it was a B2B and the game was today?
Earlier today I checked my preseason prediction ; at the time I wrote « if Dach and Laine play at least 60 games each, and if we stay at ‘ league average ‘ games missed to injuries, and because Burrowes isn’t in charge of power plays, the Habs might sneak in with about 92pts.It's funny how every hockey expert had us last in the conference and bottom 3 in the league(pre-season predictions), but there was one guy, a former player, who felt there was something special going on in Montreal, and he felt the Habs could make the playoffs. Funny I was heavily relying on Dach and didn’t even mention Hutson….. but heck, I should be pretty close when the season ends.
