Drury gets a little more time from me. We are NOT going to draft and develop an elite player. We need 3-4 elite players on this roster. Is Drury the guy to attract the best of the best? Higher cap and capspace are there to get elite players.

Mind boggling as it is, we have a decent shot to get into the wild card spot. Right now blue jackets play ottawa today and montreal plays panthers tomorrow. In each case good chance they lose. We play the sharks and its a case of we suck but the sharks suck more. Keep hoping this clown show can turn it around but always they f*** it up. Like last night they had a 5 on 3 for a minute and a half and they just skate around passing and shooting from far away. Why dont the coaches tell them to get in there close up and battle to the net. They really are a bunch of wimps. Keep hoping they play in a tougher more aggressive way but they havent yet. Fingers crossed for an improvement in their attitude, strategy and hustle tonight.

It's one thing for the coaches to tell them to get in close or go to the net.....but you need the personnel who can and want to do these things. They've shown for years that it's just not in their nature.....

This is why I think we need a new coach. Tell them to try, worst case it doesnt work, but then once they get better it will work. If you dont try you cant succeed. And if they (older core wont do it), play the younger players more who will do it. The coaches are too passive and the team lacks desperation. Cant succeed if you wont try. If you wont try then youre not playing. Its the lack of a captain also that gets in peoples faces to drill this stuff into their head thats another shortcoming. The team desperately needs leadership. So frustrating as a fan to watch this shit show.

A new coach -- this group has already gotten 4 coaches canned (I'm counting Lavvy as, like many of you, I think he will be the sacrificial lamb come end of the season). Do you really think our former coaches haven't tried? What was the result: the same "top" players did what they wanted. Sit the "older core" (a/k/a star players) and play the ones who deserve the ice time? Really -- Dolan won't have it. And therein lies your problem.....this whole "change of culture" thing will last only as long as Dolan lets it. And we know patience is not one of his virtues (if he has any)

I’m just here to watch how an NHL team properly develops an 18 year old 1AO rookie. Excited to see him playing 20 minutes and 1st PP minutes, and being able to mess up and still come out the next shift.
