Turns out Beaudin won't be making his debut tonight. However, the good news is Trudeau will play.

Martel will be reinserted into the line-up on the top line (probably with Belzile & Ylonen). RHP will be on a line with Gignac at center & Simoneau on the other wing.

Further to Trudeau coming into the line-up, he will replace Dello. It will be the only change on D.

JF Houle said that he hasn't had a chance to sit down to have a chat with Beaudin one-on-one yet as things have been hectic for Beaudin.

I heard Houle being interviewed on BPM two days ago talking about Beaudin but also that he has a lot of players to manage and how he needs to rotate some into the lineup.

I get the rotation part but why sit a player like Martel who he considers to be a first liner? Unless there was another reason for Martel to be sat?

When he scratched him last game, JF Houle said it's because he felt Martel's engagement was lacking. He healthy scratched Gignac the game before and he then came back the next game and had a goal and an assist.

Martel was great for Laval last year and more importantly, during their playoff run. So you know they expect more out of him.

Houle has been juggling his lines because they're off to a bad start and he's trying to find the fit while also trying to get guys into the line-up and passing the message to some guys, who have to give more.

Do we have lineups? The lack of young players playing key roles is concerning again... JFH needs to be canned.
What young players aren't playing key roles? They have 2 forwards who both play the PP . Norlinder plays the PP. I believe Baron and Trudeau play good minutes.

Truth is, they all mostly have sucked so far this year.
Both RHP and Ylonen have been pretty invisible.

The whole team has been brutal and guys like Ylonen and RHP should be taking the next step, not regressing.

Its a wonder why everyone sucks so bad. JFH needs to go.

There seems to be no purpose in his coaching aside from winning the next game, and even this he cant do.

Exactly. Honestly, Ylonen has always been inconsistent. I don't see him in the NHL. RHP is good when he gets going. He's got a chance at a 3rd line role if he can get going this year.
Mysak is too early to tell, but I see him as a bottom line defensive centre if he develops in Laval. I just don't think he has the offence.

Maybe. I'm not even sure it's just coaching. It's the quality of forwards. I think we'll have to wait until more prospects graduate to see a good team again. As for the D, I'm hoping the young guys work out. They miss Ouellet and Belpidio.

I hope Barron gets his game up...he looked better in the NHL last season in the 5 games he played than what he has shown so far in Laval.

I though AHL was a learning step for young prospects.....

Laval is playing a bunch of AHL carreer guys ahead of youth, especially up front. Simoneau is young, indeed, but his chances of reaching NHL are super slim. Let's test once and for all Ylonen and Mysak. They should be top-six every night.

The guy is pouting..... He thought he was NHL bound until Hughes got Kovacevic from waivers.

I'd start thinking of moving Ylonen. Get another player that would need a fresh start as well.

RHP, Ylonen, Simoneau are Top-6. Mysak is 3C tonight. Barron and Norlinder are Top-4 D. Trudeau is in the line-up. Primeau gets most of the starts.

RHP, Ylonen, Simoneau, Barron & Norlinder all are on the PP. Mysak is on the PK.

So Norlinder still not on the PP huh?
...

Yes he is. Norlinder is on one wave. Barron is on the the other wave.

Yes he is.
The last PP I saw Barron on the first unit, and Schueneman on the second. Was he the second guy back with Schu?

He's definitely not an untouchable, but I wouldn't be in a rush to move him. He was among Laval's best players last year and did not look out of place in the 14 NHL games he played last year.

Ok thanks. Didn't notice. Is it just me who's having trouble seeing the numbers on those jerseys?

They're not the easiest to see.
