Will Bob be playing again? You would think at some point (especially on back to back) that they would need to give him a day off. Granted he's playing great but if we're trying to keep him healthy it should be a consideration.
It's been a good trip already, would be nice to get another point.

I would like to see Milano draw in to replace either Jenner or Gagner.

I would like to see Harrington draw in to replace Nutivaara.

Regardless.......I'll be watching.

I too on the side give Bob a day off. But i don't see a options that we get a point/points with Macbackup in net. With Bob like options i see, a few, but see. But once again, him need a day off.Because not excluded another groin injury.

I like these lines. Portzline said Milano might draw in for this one.

I think the players are right but my thoughts on this lineup:

Jenner is struggling and he is not a distributor of the puck. Moving him to center doesn't get him back to pounding the net and getting the ugly goals that made him successful last season. And who is getting the puck to the wingers.

Keeping Dubi between two speed guys hasn't been working. And with Getzlaf looking like he's going to play Dubi probably needs to be matching his line as much as possible even with knowing the Ducks have the last change.

If Milano plays he had some chemistry with Saad in a limited sample size. He can also keep up with him speed wise and puts him on a scoring line where he needs to be. They really need to score more goals.

Maybe something like this:

Hartnell - Dubi - Cam
Saad - Wennberg - Milano
Jenner - Gagner - Foligno
Calvert - Karlsson - Anderson

And as much as I don't like the idea "maybe" Bob should sit this one out. If they have any chance to make the playoffs after such a tough schedule to start the season they need Bob to be healthy. And Mac needs to play sometime.

I get why Torts is hesitant to keep Calvert with Dubi-Atkinson. He wants that line to be scoring goals.

But Jenner has been shown over and over again to be the wrong match. If you want someone for that job, go to the "line doctor" aka "the chemist". His name is Scott Hartnell.

We're depending mostly on our defensemen for puck distribution and transition, and with the cycling game we're trying to play, any player can be pretty much anywhere. Dubi plays center and is oftentimes the one in front of the net. We don't need someone so much to distribute the puck in the offensive zone from our forwards as much as we need someone who can win battles. Jenner's forecheck isn't great right now, but he's improved the last few games while Dubi has pretty much stagnated. Plus, in the past few seasons, he's shown he can win faceoffs (small sample size, I know).

Right now Dubi is killing his line. No way I would put him with two of our better goal scorers so far. Karlsson has outplayed him. Put him with a young guy with some hustle (Anderson) and maybe he'll get to feel the puck a ilttle more.

I'd do something like this.

Hartnell - Wennberg - Cam
Saad - Jenner - Foligno
Calvert - Karlsson - Milano
Gagner - Dubi - Anderson

Good points.

I have said before that the C issue, depending on the system, can be overrated. In the Jackets system, in the offensive zone, how important is the C v W distinction? I honestly don't know right now.

Putting Jenner at center is long overdue IMO. Putting him with cam and Hartnell makes sense as all 3 of them can throw pucks on net and aren't afraid to crash the net. Hartnell and Jenner bring the physicality while Can brings the speed.
