Classic letdown spot but the Red Wings don't play defense and I think Georgiev bounces back from Saturday and picks the team up like he did against the Canes on a tough back to back. Would also like to see Braun get a game on the left side against a non-playoff team.

Bold prediction: Tyler Motte scores his first goal as a Ranger and its a shorty

I have to say it is fascinating this team has 43 wins after 67 games played. It was drilled into our minds all year that this was a bad hockey team and it was completely unsustainable. How could this be possible? They should make a documentary on this miracle team.

:sarcasm:
I mean a lot of it was Igor and the PP having amazing years, but Drury really nailed the issues at the deadline. With Kakko back, I am excited for what this team can do.

And it was said all year, they just need to get to the deadline as they kept on winning. And wouldn’t you know it, Drury addressed a lot of the holes.
Been saying all year that the team that had Hunt on 2RW and plugs like Mckegg and Gauthier was going to get an upgrade at the deadline. The easiest thing to do is add depth as we already had star power. Add a healthy Kakko and we are as good as any team in the east. The forward roster just became deep and dangerous. It's going to be a bloodbath but we are right there in the mix.

Drury has added the pieces to compete in the playoffs. We had the star power up front. We had it in Fox on the 1st pair and PP1. We had Zibanejad-Kreider-Panarin. We have young talent that is growing and learning. We needed the “heavier” pieces to fill out the depth and holes and can withstand the grind of the playoffs. Maybe we wont win the cup. Maybe we only win one round. Maybe no rounds. But we will be a bitch to play against. Pittsburgh has been introduced to this over the last two meetings.
