Wild fan coming in peace.

I'm looking forward to the game tonight:handclap:

These two teams always play a fast edgy game they're entertaining to watch! Plus, just the look of disgust on Todd's face throughout the game against us (I don't blame him...), makes it all the better!

Anyways, you guys have a good up and coming team, and I look forward to seeing you on the ice!

The Wild have one of the best home records in the league - I'll be happy with a point, ecstatic with two.

Excited for this one, should be a real test of where we're at. Coming off of a loss against a good team, and then heading out on the road against a good team ... will be interesting to see how the guys respond.

Plus, I get to watch Jared Spurgeon play, which is always a treat. :yo:

Haven't been able to stand these guys since we both came into the league in 2000. Seems like everything has gone their way since then, and nothing has gone right for us. Also, still pissed that they bumped us out of the playoffs last season, not to mention the infamous Walz pants incident that STILL annoys me to this day. Please crush them.

Wasn't Malhotra's flying scissors kick "no-goal due to a distinct kicking motion" against the Wild too?

Jackets take this one 3-2 in OT

“@Aportzline: #CBJ D Fedor Tyutin appears to be in tonight vs #mnwild. Not sure I believe the pairs shown this morning: 7-47 | 51-21 | 6-58”

“@Aportzline: Would appear that former #mnwild D Nick Schultz is a scratch tonight, along w Frederic St. Denis. #CBJ”

“@Aportzline: #CBJ lines: 71-19-38 | 18-42-13 | 11-17-8 | 24-55-26”

“@BlueJacketsNHL: #CBJ coach Todd Richards reiterates what he said yesterday: Fedor Tyutin (ankle) will be a game-time decision tonight vs. the #mnwild.”

Interesting decision to scratch Schultz given Richards' penchant for keeping vets in the lineup but Savard and Prout are playing some of their best hockey of the season. Glad they're staying in the lineup.

I believe that one was vs. Dallas.

IIRC Nash scored a goal scored late in a game at Minny to tie it only for it to be waived off since his stick was ruled to be above the crossbar (when it clearly wasn't). I think that was the 2008-09 season when one more point would have moved the Jackets out of a matchup with the Wings (the infamous Manny kick was the same year also).

Last year the Wild took 3 out of 4 points in the final 2 games with each other. Those points eventually got them into the playoffs over the Blue Jackets. Hopefully the guys remembers this and they get super pumped for tonights game. I don't care if it's a blow out or if it's a close game, just win and get the 2 points. If it has to be in the shootout, I don't care.

Someone mentioned that the Wild has an excellent home record. So did Anaheim and they were able to win a game in Anaheim. The home record shouldn't scare Columbus.

I will say 5-4 win in OT.

Anyone know who's starting for the Wild? Is it better to see Kuemper or Bryz?

Kuemper will prolly start and it would be better to see Bryz.

No need in saying tonight is big. Going into last night, the CBJ was in 2nd. Philly has Pittsburgh wrapped up today. A regulation loss tonight by the CBJ and a Detroit win tomorrow put the team on the outside looking in again. They need 2 to rebound from the single point against the Sharks.

I think the minutes he played each of them over the last several games tell the story. Clearly did not have the confidence in Schultz.

Copy and print this post.... I'm with you DJ, we have been the Wild's step child since 2000....

I wish your post could be put up in the CBJ locker room tonight...

Our boys better win this one! This is the time to take two points in ROW.... I've had enough of those sons of guns, enough is enough..

Savard is a lock for the CBJ in the future, not so sure about Prout... But I do agree, I would play them over Schutlz tonight... Schultz is a deep depth guy and not much more..

It's been way too long since the last hat trick. That changes tonight.

3 for Cam, after getting his nerves shook out last game.
3 for Tyutin, as an 'I've missed you all' present.
3 for MacKenzie since he is awesome.
3 for Johansen since he's a great hockey player.

12 primary assists for Dubinsky, since he always seems involved.

A good night all around. Jackets win 14-1, since Bob never seems to get the shutout he deserves.

Prout looked like the lock at the end of last year. I would say both still need to keep improving and proving themselves. I don't think either have earned a particularly long leash.
