BIENVENUE À LOS ANGELES: This is the second and final meeting with Montreal this season. The Kings delivered a slaying in Quebec on December 10 when they visited Montreal’s Bell Centre, winning 6-0, snapping their seven-game losing streak against the Canadiens. Tonight marks Montreal’s first visit to STAPLES Center since December 3, 2011.

EYE-TO-EYE: These clubs come into tonight with almost identical records through 62 games. Montreal (75 PTS) is still feeling heat from a handful of teams in the Eastern Conference, the Kings (74 PTS) are gaining ground on Vancouver and Phoenix for the Pacific Division’s final guaranteed playoff spot. Nothing’s safe, or determined with 20 games left on the season’s slate. Count on a dogfight.

FRENCH CONNECTION: The Kings haven’t been able to solve the Canadiens in Los Angeles for a while. Montreal has won each of its past four visits to Los Angeles dating back to March 6, 2004, and is 5-2-0 all-time at STAPLES Center. Can the Kings string a winning-streak together against the Montreal Canadiens for the first time since March 6, 2001?

Hope Nolan is back in there. I hate it when he's a HS.

Sidenote: does anyone know whether 44DD got claimed off the waivers or not?

You might as well compiment him on his ability to consume oxygen and metabolize food while your at it.

The guy is the perfect press-box presence. As an athlete, he does help with the oxygen/Co2 balance in the room. He ensures a healthy rate of concessions consumption--not too much, not too little. He's educated, and should be able to carry on conversations with any of your guests. Plus, he's pretty. You can't ask for much more out of your healthy scratches.

Pretty is where I draw the line.

I am liking Brown back on the right side. I think we should try Williams on the left so Toffoli can play his natural side. it is a lot to ask a guy to adapt to the NHL as is let alone to adapt and play out of position.
Patches should just stay here.

Nah, I'd rather keep Williams on his normal side. Toffoli is doing fine on the left.

Should be a close game. Habs are a much better team since the 6-0 game at the Bell Center in December and Budaj hasn't been bad at all, filling in for Price. Subban is due sooner or later to explode, let it be later this week against the Ducks and the Sharks.

3-2 LAK in SO.

Pierre Lebrun, moments ago on RDS: LAK still interested in Matt Moulson or Mike Cammalleri but his "contacts" tell him the prise is too high.

Of course the price is high. Sutter's comments this morning stung Burke like a pimp slap.

I wouldn't mind a repeat of the last game these two teams played. Probably the best performance by the Kings all season.
